Electric Medway Hack | Projection Mapping Workshop

  • The Dovetail Games 3rd Floor North, Fitted Rigging House, The Historic Dockyard, Chatham, England, ME4 4TZ United Kingdom (map)

Have you seen those large projections mapped on buildings? Ever wondered how it’s done? Guided by Hannah Whittaker in this 3 hour workshop, learn the basics of projection mapping using the Isadora software. Bring your own laptop if you can!

Also find out about the 2nd artist commission opportunity for Electric Medway Festival in October. This will be to create a light projection work(s) on housing or flats in Brompton, Chatham to tell contemporary stories from local residents. It will be part of a hyperlocal light-trail event, cross-presented with nearby Historic Dockyard's family programme. We will provide successful artists with access to Laser projectors, Isadora software, as well as technical support from Hannah. This is a co-commission between Electric Medway and Ideas Test. If you can't make the event, details of the commission will be made public afterwards. No previous computing experience required. For those bringing a laptop, we will email instructions on how to download the Isadora software in advance.
